Fit. Fast. Fun!

Hey Guys!

Thanks for stopping by! After years of dreaming, wishing, and hoping – now is the time for doing! If there is one thing I have learned in 27 years of living, it is that there is no better time than now.

A little bit about myself… I grew up as an overachieving tomboy.  I played every sport possible and served as class president through high school.  As a perfectionist on the field and in the classroom, I struggled with the imperfections of life.  I  learned that these imperfections lead us down amazing paths, if we let them.

After high school I studied Health & Exercise Science at Wake Forest University.  My passion for fitness and wellness grew as I became involved as a trainer, group fitness instructor, and researcher.  It took some convincing (convincing and believing in myself that is) to follow my passion.  I began competing in figure competitions and researching graduate programs in areas of my interest.  I am currently a second year Masters Exercise Science Strength & Conditioning student at The George Washington University (GW)and am the graduate assistant of Nutrition & Wellness.

I am almost done at GW, but hope to continue my education in pursuit of a doctoral degree in Nutrition.  I have been fortunate to be educated by some of the best professionals in the nutrition and exercise science fields and want to share my knowledge with the world.

As a graduate student in DC, my life has been anything but slow. Whether I am training clients, teaching courses, attending classes, working with athletes, preparing food, or writing my thesis, my time for health is still a priority.  My goal for Fit.Fast.Fun! is to provide an effective and practical blog in areas of training, nutrition, and the mind-body connection. Life gets hectic, but that doesn't mean you should sacrifice your health. I will share with you what I have learned from my experience, professors, and research in a simple, matter of fact way. Should you have questions, comments, or suggestions for content, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me!

So hear it is, now is the time for the debut of my blog and website!  Enjoy!

In Health,

Kelley
